El Segundo Magazine: Pinewood Derby

El Segundo’s Cub Scout Pack 968 spent Saturday morning at the Automobile Driving Museum, where the scouts raced their creative cars in the annual Pinewood Derby. The racers came in all themes and colors, but speed was the most important quality to the scouts who were after a golden trophy. Some boys spent months working on these cars to make them appear just as they had imagined. It took a lot of hard work, but everyone was proud to show off their creations on the day of the race. Pack 968 and the parent volunteers put together an exciting event! Stay tuned to El Segundo TV to see which car was the fastest one of all!
